Pro lookups ask mobile networks in real time, so they come with the paid plans. Every other lookup works on the free plan.

Catch fake signups

Check the email, phone and IP while the form is still submitting. Three checks, 3 credits, and you get the facts plus a risk score. The rule for what to block is yours.

One endpoint for all of it

Send whatever you have to /v1/lookup. TrustLookup works out whether it is a phone number, email, IP or domain and runs the checks you ask for. Every response has the same shape, and a lookup that fails on our side costs nothing.

Questions

How is phone validation different from an HLR lookup?

Phone validation reads the official numbering plans. It tells you a number is well formed, which country it belongs to and whether the range is mobile, landline or VoIP, without touching the network. An HLR lookup asks the mobile network, live, whether the phone is on and which network it is on today.

Why are some lookups Pro?

Carrier, portability and HLR lookups query mobile operators in real time, and each query has a real cost. They are available on every paid plan. Everything else works on the free plan.

Am I charged when a lookup fails?

No. If a lookup errors or times out on our side, it costs nothing. An answer you might not like, such as “invalid” or “not reachable”, is still an answer and costs its normal credits.

Do credits expire?

Credits on a paid plan roll over for three months. The 250 free credits reset at the start of each month.

Which countries do you cover?

Phone validation covers every country and territory in the international numbering plan. Carrier, portability and HLR coverage depends on the operators in each country, and the docs list it network by network. A Pro lookup we cannot answer costs nothing.

Do you keep the data I look up?

Results stay in your account for 30 days so you can download them, then they are deleted. We never sell or share what you check.

Is there a rate limit?

5 requests a second on the free plan and 50 on paid plans. On Scale we can raise it.
